China House was a take-out before becoming a buffet eatery. After nineteen years of refinement, the couple is still actively searching for ways to further improve their business. Their research led them to develop China House into a Chinese & Japanese style dine-in restaurant in 2007. Locals were ecstatic when they saw the brand new China House. It had undergone a huge change affecting everything from the menu to its exterior but, had still managed to keep its soul. A tasty and colorful medley of Japanese and Chinese cuisine is served at China House. Owner Laura Tang cites the major characteristics of her restaurant’s cuisine as being creative and fresh but adds that there is a diverse array of toothsome items that customers can choose from the menu. Some traditional Chinese dishes that China House offers are modified for the American palette resulting in less spicy dishes that lean towards the sweet and sour end of spectrum. The ubiquitous General Tso’s Chicken is carefully prepared to avoid over seasoning in order to maintain perfect taste and crispness. Besides the healthy and tasty Chicken w. Broccoli, there is also the Bourbon Chicken, Seasonal Chicken w. Asparagus, and Mango Shrimp which are also some more of China House’s most popular offerings. Japanese cuisine is more than raw fish. Some of the exquisite Japanese dishes served here, include Tempura Shrimp, Spicy Tuna, and the ever popular Wasabi Roll. “There are plenty of choices for the health-conscious customer,” Laura adds. Many of China House’s first time customers become long term customers. They tell Laura that they visit her restaurant, not just for the food, but to see old friends. “I have a tight friendship with many of the regulars,” explains Laura.
